A question about the decoration of the parliament hall with the walnut woodknob was finished by the resignation of the Speaker of the parliament Adahan Madumarov.

Recently Adahan Madumarov has suggested decorating the parliament hall with the walnut woodknob.

According to the preliminary estimate, the decoration of the parliament hall, central foyer, oval and square halls, speaker’s reception and the doors at the all floors of the parliament building would cost more than 1 million dollars (4000677 soms).

After the rough discussion the deputies made a request to the plenipotentiary of the President in the parliament Kambaraly Congantiev to announce the President’s opinion about the decoration and repair of the parliament hall.

The plenipotentiary suggested the leader of the presidential faction “Ak-Jol” Elmira Imbraimova to tell the president’s opinion.

“The President thinks that the repair and the decoration of the parliament is useless at this moment”, - Elmira Ibraimova told.

There was a short squabble between Elmira Ibraimova and Adahan Madumarov after her announcement. Therefore Elmira Ibraimova asked the Speaker to apologize and suggest the committee about ethics and regulations to consider the speaker’s behavior.

“I will prepare the question about the impeachment of the credibility to me and suggest to vote”, - Madumarov told after that squabble.

On 28th may the chief of the committee about ethics and regulations Alisher Sabirov told that the committee found some offence against the regulations and ethics. A committer accused Madumarov of using abusive language and baseless charges against Elmira Ibraimova. Also, the committee concluded that Adahan Madumarov broke the regulations of passing of a draft.

On 29th May the deputies viewed the petition of the speaker about a resignation and accepted his resignation by a majority. Only one deputy voted against.

The same day the plenipotentiary of the President in parliament Kambaraly Congantiev nominated the deputy Aitibay Tagaev for the speaker’s post. 77 deputies voted for and 2 against.

The chosen speaker of the parliament Aitibay Tagaev called all deputies to the unity and the consents.

“I’ve got very important position. I promise that I will treat all 90 deputies equally. All three factions are a single whole for me. We thank you kindly”, - Tagaev told

“I think, Madumarov will stay in the political area and will be a chief of some department of the executive power. It’s possible that the administration and president have already prepared a place for Madumarov, like a position in some embassy or in some ministry” , – Kazakpaev told to BPC.

The political scientist Mars Sariev thinks that the ex-speaker will stay in presidential party Ak-Jol and will continue the deputy work.

The political scientist Toktogul Kakchekeev suggests that Adahan Madumarov will be the head of one of the Kyrgyz embassy abroad.
