Isa Omurkulov, a member of Social Democratic Party fraction said that the party lost its trust and confidence in justice and fairness of Kyrgyzstan’s courts and the party will ne forced to appeal to international courts to prove that the charge against them is fabricated and no damage was caused for the state. The party has already appealed the ruling of interdistrict court of Bishkek compelling the party to pay US$572 thousand for the material damage caused for the public budget. The demand to pay US$572 thousand is an illegal demand which is not proscribed in any law of our country. The General Prosecutor’s Office found Edil Baisalov guilty in publicizing the voting ballot on the Internet, but there is no Edil Baisalov’s fault in it and the party will protect him.

There were rumours that Edil Baisalov was withdrawn from the party after the scandal. Isa Omurkulov explains it by saying that Edil Baisalov withdrew himself from the political council of the party and the post of the Executive Secretary because this position is a full-time job. Yet, Edil Baisalov is still SDPK member.
