A chance to our kids
Adults are too busy with everyday life to spend more attention to the education of their children. Some of parents do care, they spend good amount of money for private schools and teachers. The government employees are lack of motivation to make changes in school education. With small salaries, bureaucratic way of doing business, it is really hard to. Overall, the secondary education in Kyrgyz Republic is not that bad, so then why to change it? Kyrgyzstan inherited the Soviet system of education, which is considered to be one of the best in the world. However, I have concerns about my son’s future education in Kyrgyzstan, and he is only a few months old.
Why is it important to? In modern world, the intellectual services are in a greater need than ever. Services like hi-tech, biomedicine, nanotechnologies, consulting, auditing, management, health, etc. are getting more expensive. If we look at developed countries, they have several government organizations and agencies which are responsible for education system. They make research, analysis, reports and recommendations to the government based on their experience, current needs and future trends in various spheres of economics and social life. For example, in UK, there’s BECTA, government organization, which, in particular, monitors the implementing of new instructional technologies in schools.
The issue is that nobody is really concerned about the future of secondary education in Kyrgyz Republic. It just goes by itself. The society does not realize the importance of research for education, that the intellectual force can reshape the country’s economy.
