Spy-lady in the Kyrgyz parliament
Kyrgyz parliament’s press service worker was detained two days ago in Bishkek while handing over secret information. Jyparkul Arykova, a senior consultant of parliament’s press service, is believed to be spying, but according to some officials in the parliament, the information that press service receives is checked very thoroughly by a large number of assistants, consultants, lawyers and professional experts. She could not have access to secret information.
Vice-speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Kubanychbek Isabekov told to News Agency 24.kg that Arykova like all other employees of the press service does not have an access to secret information. It’s been seven years since she is working at the parliament and during these seven years she visited China once. She is known as very serious and well-tempered lady.
According to Kyrgyz Criminal Code, the Article on “Distribution or collection of information, which is considered to be official secret, with an aim to transfer it to foreign organizations” assumes imprisonment up to three years. It is interesting to know who exactly and what kind of information from the parliament was Arykova handing over.
