In Kyrgyzstan it is becoming very popular to host different movie festivals dedicated to certain culturally important dates. This year already several weeks of various movie festivals were organized, for example, a week of Japanese movie, a week of Turkish movie, and Russian as well. This week also Kyrgyzstan is hosting its first French, German and Kyrgyz movie festival. The festival has started on 14 June and will continue until 22 June. This event is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the European Union, the formation of which originates from France and Germany. The idea behind German and French movies is to make audience think about history of the relationship between these two countries. Cultural Attaches of both countries are very enthusiastic about the event and believe that Kyrgyz, German and French movies have lots of things in common. The best movies of three countries are presented each day. I believe that this kind of events unite people of different nations as movies have so many things to share.
