Kazakhstan: Government Reshuffling
October 06, 2006 14 19 GMTKazakhstani President Kurmanbek Bakiyev reshuffled law enforcement executive posts Oct. 6. Osmonaly Guronov replaced Murat Sutalinov as acting Interior Minister, while Sutalinov was appointed head of the National Security Service. Bakiyev made Tokon Mamytov head of the Kyrgyz Security Council after former head Miroslav Niyazov resigned. Kyrgyzstan has faced reshuffling since opposition leader Omurbek Tekebayev was framed for carrying heroin in an airport.
